Thursday 8th July 2010 - Evening Walk - Bull's Cross
Meeting point & Parking: 06:45 PM. Meet at Layby
at Bull's Cross on the B4070 between Birdlip & Stroud just north

A walk through Slad Valley passing ponds, fields and woodland. Expect
a few up and downs and a number of stiles.

Thursday 15th July 2010 - Evening Walk - Woodmancote and
Vicinity Part 1

at car park of the Apple Tree PH, in Stockwell Lane, Woodmancote.

M. Enjoy spectacular views as we climb up from Woodmancote, onto
Cleeve Hill / Common for a short way and then descend via Nottingham
Hill back down to Woodmancote Village. Followed by pub meal in the
Apple Tree. Note: Expect gradients, both up and down. P.S. This
is a repeat of the evening walk originally done in drizzle, rain
and fog on Thursday 29th April, when there were no views whatsoever,
so fingers crossed this time for better conditions and some far-reaching
views!

Sunday 25th July 2010 - Day Walk - Grwne Fawr

Commission car park at Pont Cadwgan. Grid

Distance: 7.5 miles. Grading:
M. The walk offers a mix of forest, moorland, wooded valleys and
extensive views as it climbs through Mynydd Du Forest to visit Crug
Mawr (550m) and the delightful church in Partrishow before returning
on the opposite side of the valley. This is a moderate walk on the
Ramblers scale, with some climbs though they neither steep nor strenuous.

Thursday 29th July 2010 - Evening Walk - Lower Swell
Meeting point & Parking: 06:45 PM. Meet at Golden
Ball pub in Lower Swell on the B4068 near Stow on the Wold. Car
park is small so please try and car share, or park in the roadside
parking spaces up the road from the pub towards Stow. Grid

M. Mostly a scenic flat walk (with plenty of sheep to talk to) over
the fields to Lower Slaughter, with a little bit of a hill back
to Lower Swell and food at the pub. Will be leaving at 6.45pm prompt
to get back in time for food, and will need to order before setting
off so please allow time for this.

Sunday 1st August 2010 - Day Walk - Moreton in Marsh

Level and gentle walk through the pleasant Vale of Evenlode with
only a few stiles. The walk passes a spectacular Jacobean house
en route. Only a few stiles, though some paths may be overgrown.
Chance for a pub/tea shop stop at the end of the walk.

Thursday 5th August 2010 - Evening Walk - Nailsworth,
Ruskin Mill & Horsley
Meeting point & Parking: 06:45 PM. Meet at Britannia
Inn, Nailsworth. Plenty of parking behind the Britannia in the New
Market car park or in the road. Grid

This is a short walk over moderate terrain packed full of interest.
The walk starts in Nailsworth, outside the Britannia Inn where we
will be stopping for a drink and/or meal after the walk. We go passed
Ruskin Mill and Willow Fisheries before climbing up to Horsley,
this is the return higher section of the walk which gives you wide
views of Minchinhampton Common and Nailsworth. A couple of steepish
hills, otherwise fairly flat.

Park, Maisemore Village Hall, Church Road, Maisemore. From Gloucester,
enter Maisemore on the A417 and Church Road is the first turning
on the left after the White Hart Pub. Grid

This is a circular walk, taking in panoramic views of Gloucester
and the Cotswolds and meeting the Severn Way, where if the weather
permits we can stop for a late lunch picnic, near to the river.
The weir and the lake are some of the interesting features towards
the end of the walk.

bridge you have come too far. Please share lifts if possible and
